Colour is a powerful tool in traditional Ukrainian weaving. The origin of the used dye, however, is very often chemical. Here, the yarn for the Traditional Woolen Gunya and Hemp Yarn Gunya are dyed with ingredients, used for cooking Borsch – a traditional Ukrainian soup.
