Freezing Favela

Freezing Favela is a mini city in the Mediamatic Fabriek, Amsterdam. Builders, cooks and other project developers have had the opportunity to claim their space in the big factory halls. They are working on their projects independantly, but like any other community, they need to share materials and space. The favela citizens are making tostis from scratch, paper from cow dung, furniture from cardboard and food from the ingredients produced in our very own aquaponics farm. And everyone can participate. We' re open every Wednesday and Sunday.
