So far (summer 2016) we collaborated with 100 national and international artists, designers and scientist and 63 interns to organise 19 workshops, 30 presentations and 4 new exhibitions.

Odorama 4 Amy Toner's choreography, expressing the relation between dance and scents, 2 februari 2016 - expressing the relation between dance and scents, 2 februari 2016 Odorama february 11. Whether derived from nature, or chemically constructed, odourant molecules have the ability to profoundly effect our behaviour, emotions and associations. At Odorama we’ll actively engage with our senses and explore everything that reaches and effects the nose. We will consider olfactory history and design that is experimental and challenging. 06-02-2016 Masterclass Prototyping Bodies - Agi Haines - Agi Haines (UK) uses the human body as everyday material in order to question our morbid curiosity for the viscera of life. By focusing on the design of this body she aims to push the boundaries on what is accepted within our society. Kimchi Workshop - Kimchi is een Koreaans gerecht met gefermenteerde groente, zoals kool en radijs, en smaakmakers zoals chilipepers, gember en lente-ui. Kimchi is diep geworteld in de Koreaanse cultuur en is veel meer dan gewoon een gerecht. Tijdens de workshop van June Park leer je traditionele Kimchi maken volgens het geheime recept van haar grootmoeder. 19-03-2016 Melksalon - Sietske Klooster and her farmers - Local farmers of Amsterdam. During 'de Melksalon' an event presented Sietske Klooster, guest could taste the raw unprocessed milk. It was a monthly serie where Sietske presents Amsterdam's dairy culture. The project was made by working together with farmers, dairy-experts, restaurateurs, artists and synestheet. Opening Restaurant Mediamatic ETEN - Mediamatic is now the proud owner of a waterside restaurant and bar: Mediamatic ETEN. We try to use as little animal products as possible and bake our vegan pizza's in the homebuilt Wood-Fired Clay Oven. The herbs come from our own Aquaponics System (a durable food production system) and off course you will find a lot of fermented products on the menu. Including our own homebrewed myco beer. Our team pouring the samples at Rein Beer Fest - The Reinheitsgebot, or German Beer Purity Law, is one of the oldest food regulation laws still in function today. It limits the ingredients in beer in Germany to only water, hops and barley. The law came into existence in order to regulate prices and resources, but was later also used as a German beer marketing tool. 11-09-2015 Rederij Lampedusa - arriving at Mediamatic - In the harbour next to the terrace of Mediamatic ETEN, the two ships from Shipping Company Lampedusa are docked. The respective boats are former refugees ships used by people to cross the Mediterranean Sea. Although the Municipality of Amsterdam allows no more than fifteen people on the largest ship according to its safely regulations, 282 refugees fled on it from North Africa to Lampedusa. 18-09-2015 Hard Water by Zeger Reyers - In an ultimate combination of man and nature (or perhaps man versus nature), Zeger Reyers has created an enormous living art installation that climbs down from the exterior second floor level of the Mediamatic Biotoop building in Dijkspark into the Mediamatic Restaurant. Hard Water was constructed using over 1000 ceramic plates, soil and different species of grass, including Gaura and Crocosmia.
