Carlien Booij

studied Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam. In 2004 she helped found the arts and culture monthly Hallal, of which she was editor-in-chief until late 2005. Since that year, she has been working as a project coordinator for Punta Est Publishers, and as (web)editor for the Amsterdam "Africa in the Picture" film festival.
