Since 1994 de Appel has hosted a nine month long Curatorial Programme that offers emerging international curators a condensed package of experiences and skills that can be used as tools for the development of their professional careers. The programme encompasses an array of theoretical seminars,workshops, field trips, assignments and encounters. It has a special thematic focus on 'context-responsive' curating and the presentator of art in the 'public sphere'.
