On Friday, 24 September, in collaboration with WEI, TAC is organising the third edition of the No Budget Festival, Armut macht Geil. The programme of Armut macht Geil is a mix of music, art (including films, photos, installations and sculptures), philosophy and debate. Though the event is not funded and free to the public, it reflects on the purpose, influence and place of money (or lack thereof) in art. How much is creativity and artistic output influenced by money?

This year the inspiration for the festival is the crumbling US city of Detroit. Despite – or perhaps thanks to – its long-deteriorating economic situation, Detroit has produced a wealth of influential music and art.
