Pebbles and the Riverman - Kristof van Proeyen

Programme

Pebbles & the Riverman (B) website
When Brit Van Hoof (vocalist) and Pieter Thys (guitar) met each other, it was immediately obvious: this would be a hit. The result is Pebbles and the Riverman: an exceptionally successful combination of raw Soul, Spanish duende and references to poetic texts. A strange combination, perhaps? True, but overwhelmingly beautiful and, at times, heartrending.

Leendert (NL) website
Presented his wonderful debut EP, "In de Nacht ben je Mooier" (“You are more beautiful by night”) at the end of November. Poetic, Dutch-language songs for listening, with a tendency towards the darker, more melancholic side. Leendert’s music inhabits a space between folk, cabaret and pop, and has been compared to the songs of Leonard Cohen and Spinvis. Why not listen and find out for yourself!

Teddierum (B) website
Dijf Sanders and Jason Dousselaere play together in numerous well-known bands. Their latest progeny is called Teddiedrum and they guarantee the hottest electro-pop that Flanders has to offer. “Dreamy without being fluffy,” is how they describe themselves. A passion for beats, an old Casio and two fashionable moustaches do the rest.
