Josje Peters

Josje Peters graduated from AKV|St.Joost in 'S Hertogenbosch in 2008, followed by residencies at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam in 2010 and 2011. In addition to her role as a visual artist, she has been actively involved in various social projects.

Notably, from 2007 to 2017, she participated in the Rainbow Soulclub, a collaborative project in Amsterdam initiated by Saskia Janssen and George Korsmit. The project involved artistic collaboration with visitors of the shelter homes run by the De Regenboog Foundation.

Between 2014 and 2019, Josje was engaged in organizing and conducting workshops during open studio days and various neighborhood projects in Nieuw West. In 2021, she contributed as an artist to "Samen zijn wij Stedelijk," a project by the Stedelijk Museum. The initiative involved collaborating with families from Nieuw-West, with each artist and family developing a conceptual plan about what would attract them to visit the museum together. Josje Peters' artistic journey is intertwined with a commitment to social engagement and collaborative creativity.
