Watertanden

Exploring food through art

28 Sep 2012
7 Oct 2012

Watertanden is an exhibition about the experience of food. Does a strawberry taste the same on a picnic as it does in a perspiring porta potty? What does your grocery basket reveal about your wishes and desires? And how does the smell of food influence memories? The exhibition Watertanden (mouthwatering) explores the curious and creative side of food - bypassing, we promise, calorie counters, diet tips and poisonous antioxidants.

Watertanden

We need food to survive, but there's so much more to it than that. What defines an eating experience? Taste, surroundings, genes, company? How can we use food to comfort, manipulate, and form our identities? The exhibition is a food-based obstacle course, inviting you to experiment and taste.
