Any day is like no other. That is why Another Claudie Day was to be seen during 2 weeks. Under this title Claudie de Cleen showed a small moment from everyday life as a drawing or as a snippet of text each day.

Drawings that denounce our daily rituals and peculiarities. And texts that make an appeal for compassion or present the viewer with a slick dream: a piece of Las Vegas on an Amsterdam wall. Intriguing images and messages to take along on the way home.

Claudie de Cleen (1968) graduated from Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 1992 and from Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht in 1996. She did the one-year art director's course 'Hallo' at the Amsterdam Academy for Creative Communication and was a trainee at KesselsKramer advertising agency. Her drawings are published regularly in magazines like Carp and BLVD. In 2002 De Cleen enjoyed the six-month use of a Paris studio on grants from the Institut NĂ©erlandais and the BKVB Fund and in June she exhibited her drawings at Annet Gelink Gallery in Amsterdam.
