Scanner
British artist Robin Rimbaud traverses the experimental terrain between sound, space, image and form, creating absorbing, multi-layered sound pieces that twist technology in unconventional ways. From his early controversial work using found mobile phone conversations, through to his focus on trawling the hidden noise of the modern metropolis as the symbol of the place where hidden meanings and missed contacts emerge, his restless explorations of the experimental terrain have won him international admiration from amongst others, Bjork, Aphex Twin and Stockhausen.

Scanner is committed to working with cutting edge practitioners and has collaborated with artists from every imaginable genre: from musicians and composers, to fashion designers and dance companies. Since 1991 he has been intensely active in sound art, producing concerts, compositions, installations and recordings. In 2009 he released his new album, ‘Rockets, Unto the Edges of Edges,’ and presented new work at the Canary Islands Biennial. His avant pop band Githead continues to tour and record globally. He is currently Visiting Professor at University College Falmouth UK, and Visiting Professor at Le Fresnoy National Centre for Contemporary Arts in Tourcoing France.

Fehlfaktor
Luis Ortiz and Lars Ullrich are the artists behind this industrial factory of errors and probabilities created through manipulated recordings, noise, feedbacks, and the use of tools and instruments created through a graphical development environment for music and multimedia. The ideology behind this project focuses on the creation of sound art and the exploration of a music devoid of intent. The work of Fehlfaktor exploits the physical properties of sound, its causality with human perception and mathematics as music, time and space. FF concerts are a fusion of art visual and sound experimentation.
