Graz is the capital of Styria, a province of Austria. Graz is the second biggest city of Austria, after Vienna. Graz is located in the south of Austria, about 50 km from the border with Slovenia. In 2003 Graz was the Cultural Capital of Europe. Probably the best known cultural building in Graz is the Kunsthaus, also known as the 'friendly alien', which was realised in 2003 as part of the Cultural Capital of Europe. But Graz has a lot more to offer when it comes to art and culture.
