Green, wet and clean. Like many Dutch cities, Noord has an underground garbage disposal system. Blue is for paper, yellow for glass and gray for the other garbage. The red bin is for small waste. In this picture you see an inhabitant of Noord neatly disposing her wine- and juice bottles in the container. Garbage disposal is expensive, that is why the gray container only opens with a garbage disposal pass. This prevents people from outside the district dumping their waste in the containers of Noord.
