Desiree Dolron

Desiree Dolron (born 1963) is a Dutch photographer and filmmaker. 

Dolron's work ranges from documentary and travel photography to still lifes, portraiture and film, exploring the passing of time, the complexity and impermanence of human condition and the relation between the finite and the transcendent. 

In 1996, she was awarded the Laureate Prix de Rome and in 2019 the title of Artist of the Year by the American friends of the Museums in Israel, New York. 

Her work has been exhibited and is part of international collections, such as the ones of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, National Museum of Qatar, Sir Elton John Collection, The Joseph M. Cohen Family Collection, Collection H+F, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Gemeentemuseum, The Hague, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, la Collection Neuflize Vie, France Victoria and Albert Museum, Boijmans van Beuningen, and Museum of fine-arts, Houston.
