Judit Szalipszki

I joined Mediamatic in February 2017, and I am dedicating my time and energies to the development and organization of the NeoFuturist Dinner Series!

I am originally from Budapest, Hungary. With a background in media and communication and curating, I am currently involved in the master’s programme Arts and Society in Utrecht University - this is what brought me to the Netherlands a few months ago.

During the last few years I was active in many projects in the non-profit and the for-profit scene in Hungary curating exhibitions, organizing events, art festivals, screenings, presentations, discussions, publishing articles, leading urban walks and representing galleries at art fairs.

Presently, I have an interest in food and how it might be a vehicle for transmitting knowledge, triggering emotions and memory, how it adds to perception and how the sharing of a meal might contribute to creating and reinforcing a sense of community. I am intrigued by artistic practices that involve flavour and olfaction to reflect on cultural, political and ecological issues.

<3 I collect flipbooks and love neon signs as well as flea markets.

I am afraid of flying and dogs.
