Soundwalk (USA/France)
picnic.soundwalk.com
Soundwalk offers a new, unique travel experience through original audio guides that can be played on mobile phones. The visitor downloads a Soundwalk on his phone. Over the course of an hour, the visitor can discover a neighborhood, guided by the voice of a star that embodies the spirit of the city. Soundwalks draw on sound to establish a new reality. They are original urban soundtracks, in which fiction and reality merge through the music, narrator’s voice, interviews, and sound effects, creating the sensation of walking in a film.
Soundwalk has produced more than 40 tours around the world and collaborated with Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Fauchon, Orange... Drawing its inspiration from Baudelaire’s concept of flânerie and from cinema, each Soundwalk entails a new and poetic discovery of the city, as well as an intimate voyage into the lives of its narrators. Actors, scripts, original soundtracks... Using the same means as cinema production, Soundwalk is a fiction set to the backdrop of reality itself - a movie without images, since they are already living in front of the listener...

On October 3, Soundwalk is launching an iPhone application in joint venture with Clicmobile, a mobile agency which conceives, develops and publishes mobile applications. The series will be inaugurated by three Paris Soundwalks for the Paris art festival Nuit Blanche on October 3. Other Soundwalks in New York and Paris will be featured on the iPhone: the Bronx with Jazzy Jay and Afrika Bambaataa, Little Italy with Vinny Vella, Palais-Royal with Hélène Fillières and a night tour of Pigalle with Lou Doillon... In only a few minutes, anywhere, anytime, the iPhone user can install the Soundwalk app on his iPhone and discover a neighborhood on an hour-long tour, guided by the voice of a personality.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to see a preview demo of this fascinating and original iPhone application and get a preview of the «augmented reality» version of Soundwalk that will be released on Google Android phones later this autumn
