History

24HR Art was established in 1989 as a non-profit association. 24HR Art grew out of a long-standing desire of many individuals and organisations in the Territory for a venue dedicated specifically to the promotion and support of contemporary visual art. To create an environment that offers artists an opportunity to experiment, explore and exhibit their work, a space to share and collaborate with local, national and international arts communities.

Organization Structure

24HR Art is a legally incorporated association whose operations are the responsibility of an elected and appointed Board of Management. 24HR Art is assisted by the Commonwealth Government through the Australia Council its' arts funding and advisory body, by the Northern Territory Government through Arts NT and by the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.
