Over the course of forty-five days, BLAAK10 Gallery will host an exhibition project about, yet without the Internet. It is the offline work of an international group of artists, designers and activists from the Media Design M.A. course of the Piet Zwart Institute at the Willem de Kooning Academy.
The exhibition will bring together the tawdry, the incomprehensible, and the ecstatic of contemporary Web culture. In sync with the Internet's babbling 24-hour info rhythm, the show will be updated every day. Instead of an opening, there will be a closing party on January 8, 2009.
Despite their focus on a "worldwide" digital medium, all installations will be firmly grounded on the gallery's local, tangible, analog space. The exhibition will not contain any computer or Internet connections, but sites without links, links without URLs, bottles without bottlenecks, etc.

Closing party on January 8th, 2009

Participants: Marijke Appelman (NL), Chris Baronavski (USA), Dennis de Bel (NL), Agnese Camellini (IT), Timo Klok (NL), Tobias Leingruber (DE), Alexandre Leray (FR), Steve McLaughlin (USA), Selena Savic (CS), Farah Shakeel (PK), Tamar Litvak (IL), Leonie Urff (NL), Stéphanie Vilayphiou (FR), Sauli Warmenhoven (NL).
