Charity event for the victims of the earthquake in Japan. We raised € 4606,05 !

A LIVE AID style event. Loads of music, art and Japanese food. All proceeds were donated to Red Cross Japan, and an online donation spot was available.

Live Aid

March 11, 2011, an earthquake triggered a tsunami that hit Japan, causing major devastation along the coastal areas. Thousands were killed and the full scale of the tragedy is far from clear. Japan Helpen Kan and Ganbare Japan joined forces with Mediamatic to raise money for the victims.

Location: Mediamatic Bank, Vijzelstraat 68, Amsterdam. Entrance fee was €5,-. The charity event took place during the Arcade exhibition, which relies, among others, heavily on Japanese (gaming) culture.
