Atari Jaguar, 1993

Game: DOOM

The Jaguar is a 64-bit video game console, released in 1993 by Atari. Although it wasn't a big success (only 80 games were released for this little machine), it's important in that it was Atari's last video game console.

Among those eighty games was the immensely popular first-person shooter DOOM. DOOM was the successor to Wolfenstein 3D and is one of the most controversial games ever to be released.

We would like to thank Adriaan van Roeden for lending us the console on show in the Arcade exhibition.
