Garo Feslian is a chef, food enthusiast and food storyteller based in Amsterdam, originally from Lebanon. After finishing his culinary studies from the Italian Culinary Institute in Calabria, Italy, he started working in various restaurants in Italy, France and Beirut, in front and back of the house positions, where he explored the culinary world from different perspectives. Later, he started giving workshops in Beirut, focusing on Italian culinary techniques and heritage. His multicultural background shows in his work, where he combines the values and know-how of his grandmothers and mother, and hopes to transmit that in his work, projects and endeavors. Recently, he is focusing on expanding his interests by combining design and culinary arts. He is designing experiences where his guests can enjoy the different aspects of gathering around food and telling their stories, hand making ceramic plates for further research, and planning on releasing a cookbook about his Armenian heritage.
