From Central Station
Walking or Cycling
To reach Mediamatic, walk along the railway on the IJ side until you reach the Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis tram stop. Then take the stairs or elevator down, turn left and walk under the viaduct. The first building you'll encounter is Hanneke's Boom, turn left and follow the road until you'll see the glass greenhouse. To get to our Restaurant, turn right at EAT DRINK ART and walk past the greenhouse towards the water.
Tram
From Central Station Mediamatic is one stop with tram 26 in the direction of IJburg.
Fom Amsterdam-East
You can cycle or walk via the Marineterrein (entrance Kattenburgerstraat) to the Commandantsbrug. Cross the bridge and walk left or right past the Sluisdeurenloods. The restaurant is on the waterfront.
You can also reach us by cycling or walking over the Dijksgracht from the Kattenburgerstraat. To get to our Restaurant, turn left after the Sluiseurenloods and walk towards the water to the greenhouse.
By car
From the A10 highway take exit S114 and reach us in 10 minutes via the Piet Hein tunnel.
When coming by taxi, it's best to be dropped of at the tram 26 tram stop. It's a 3 minute walk from there. Suppliers can unload at our streetside frontdoor.
Note: Enter the address of the neighbours in the navigation app: Dijksgracht 8, and then drive into the pedestrian area.
You can park your car in the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA), address: Piet Heinkade. Nearby is Q-park IJ-oever Centrum and next to it you will find APCOA Parking de Loodsen, address: Veembroederhof 208. During the weekend you can park here for 24 hours for only € 10, - and during the week for € 3 per hour. All garages are within walking distance of Mediamatic.
Another opportunity to park your car is at P+R Zeeburg: cheap parking for 24 hours including tram tickets; 10 minutes by tram 26 from Mediamatic. Also ideal for your visit to the rest of Amsterdam city centre!
For suppliers, services and disabled you can (temporarily) park on our premises. Dijksgracht is closed between 17:00 and 07:00. Call us for the entrance code if you have a delivery between those hours.
By boat
Mediamatic Biotoop is also accessible from the waterside, meaning you can moor your boat next to the restaurant.
