Pixar might suck up much of the oxygen in the world of animation but there's plenty of activity at the edges of the art form. Barry Doupe's computer animations look that look like technology on the verge of collapse, embodying narratives that surpass Lynchian machinations in the weird and obtuse.

Ponytail's babblefish German speaking characters are lost in something which plays like a forgotten Fassbinder movie as performed by avatars from the Sims. It's a case where seeing is clearly necessary for believing. A quite remarkable computer animation feature film!
