Initiators Wendeline Thole and Bob Konsten have been visiting the graduation exhibitions of the Dutch art academies for years and the exhibition at P//AKT shows their first selection. Apart from a professional interest in contemporary art, their personal ambition is to both advance the careers of young artists and provide the audience with some insights in their practice. Bougie creates a platform where artists, experts and art lovers can meet.

Art historians Joost Bergman and Marc-Jan van Laake advise (starting) collectors. They will explain their practice in the wider discourse of contemporary art and reflect on the works of the selected Bougie-artists.
