Sina Khani (born 1982, Tehran) is a former musician, painter, and talk show host turned comedian, based in Amsterdam. He is armed with a mullet, a dubious reputation, and more haters than fans. Through provocative humor and an uncompromising style, he challenges ongoing norms and artforms. You can check out his work but honestly, you're probably not ready for it.

The Artist

Sina Khani takes a raw, unfiltered approach to storytelling. Absurdist, experimental, and unapologetically confrontational, each piece pushes boundaries for both audience and creator alike.

  • Founded "Creeps from the Middle East" with Susan Lanting & Steven Bos (2023)
  • Former career as painter - gave up painting to start comedy career
  • Comedy career ended after telling a "fatal incest joke" on stage in Berlin
  • Physically attacked twice by former crew members
  • Had YouTube channel, Gmail, and Instagram hacked by former editor
  • Currently making new films, and podcasting at the infamous Unsafe House.
  • Education: Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Audiovisual Arts), Sandberg Instituut (MFA)

All his paintings remain unfinished but signed, "in case he dies."

The Sina Khani Show is a talk show look-alike kind of show that fakes diverse elements from classical American late night entertainment, but turns them into something... eh... else.

Sina Khani is the new David Letterman. Without the budget, without the connections and without the humor. So please enjoy The Sina Khani Show.

It consists of super-charismatic guests, historical interviews, some smart but silly jokes, a huge sidekick, a show band called "The Khanis", great DJ's, terrible VJ's, maybe food, drinks for sure, chicks for sure, a camera team and a sober host.

Peter Klashorst on The Sina Khani Show PILOT

Peter Klashorst (also Peter van de Klashorst) (born 11 February 1957, Santpoort) is a Dutch painter, sculptor, and photographer.
Klashorst specializes in painting and photographing women. He also has a wife and children in Africa. In 2000, in primarily Muslim Senegal, his art caused him to end up in custody of the police for some weeks. He was suspected of taking advantage of prostitution, inciting debauchery, and the production of obscene pictures, because he had painted local women in the nude. By bribing officials, he managed to buy his freedom, and he sneaked into The Gambia to flee the country. On another visit in 2003 he was also deported from Gambia for pornographic paintings.
In 2003 Klashorst did a brief entry into politics with his party "O O Den Haag", but later withdrew from the elections. He tried again in the Amsterdam municipal elections in 2006 with another new party "Huisje Boompje Beestje", but didn't succeed in getting enough votes.
