The great but gradual transformation: the evolution of TV Advertising


During the 2007 edition of the PICNIC, TNO organizes a workshop on the evolution of TV advertising, on Friday the 28th of September 2007 from 9 – 12 AM in Ketelhuis 1 on the Westergasfabriek complex.

Over the course of the last decade we have been bombarded with messages predicting ‘the end of TV as we know it’ and ‘grand revolutions in the TV advertising market’. Although the TV industry is indeed experiencing many new challenges, ad revenues mark a more evolutionary transformation.

This half day workshop intends to provide insights as to how the TV advertising industry is evolving. Experts from TNO, ScreenDigest and CCCP will share their views on topics such as advertising on new TV platforms, the value of interactivity, online video and advertising, the impact of user generated content and the effects of the new EU directive on Audiovisual Services on the advertising industry within the EU. Speakers include:
