Ignite Amsterdam 30

12 presentations x 5 minutes

25 Sep 2013

We spent the summer rummaging around project sites, virtual domains and art schools in search of the freshest ideas. And filled our pockets with Drone It Yourself kits, a famous shoe, smalltime photography, Farming the City, AR-coding, the Dutch post-punk music genre ULTRA and more. Dinner at 19:00, the first speaker kicks off at 20:30. Get your tickets online in advance to save a few euros.

Ricarda Franzen

Every now and then a minute-or-so-long audio fragment appears on Hard//hoofd. These docu-fictions are collages of found statements and sounds, removed from their context to become something new. Tonight Ricarda will tell you more about this and other sound work.

Lisa Goudsmit

Having wrestled with Jan Jansen's famous Bamboo Shoe for her MA thesis (Design Cultures, VU Amsterdam), Lisa rewrote her research into a book published by NAi/010 as part of Design Stories, a series of books on iconic Dutch design objects.
