I am Grant Officer at the Dutch Creative Industries Fund, my work concerns all grant requests concerning e-culture.
The Creative Industries Fund NL began operating on 1 January 2013. It operates within the context of the Dutch government’s culture policy and focuses on all the designing disciplines and on E-culture in a broad sense.
The Fund issues project grants in order to foster substantive quality in architecture, urban design, landscape design, product design, graphic design, fashion and E-culture, to foster innovation and cross-sector approaches and to professionalize entrepreneurship.
Before this, I was Project Developer at Mediamatic Foundation. This means that, in the early stages of a project, when we where full of inspiration and ideas, it was my goal to turn these ideas into a realistic plan. I also thought of nice projects that would fit into our general plans.
Furthermore, I programmed the monthly Ignite Amsterdam events together with Evelyn Austin. Always looking for new projects, cool artists and innovative ideas!
After studying Art and Art management, I extended my knowledge with social and new media and games, by following the New Media and Digital Culture Master at Utrecht University.
I organised several conferences and cross-over events for the NLGD | Festival of Games. For STRP Festival, I managed and curated a project concerning RFID and art.
I love art, games, music, books, cooking, food, lomography, animations and making things, and I am interested in new media, convergence and interactivity, hoping to find the unexpected.
