Ignite Amsterdam 25

Trash beer, dinner and 12 speedy talks

27 Feb 2013

We're talking cats, birds and Mickey this month. Join us for the mystery of the grilled cheese sandwich and the beauty of bullfighting. There will be a trash beer tasting, and dinner comes courtesy of a number of home cooks. Expect a wide variety of dishes, from Marcy's hot pupasas (a traditional Salvadoran tortilla dish) to Makis' Greek veggie stew. Food market opens at 19:30 so be on time to secure your favorite meal. Speakers kick off at 20:30.

Wouter works as an artist (sculptures and installations), sculpture teachter (Gerrit Rietveld Academie) and curator (for instance the monumental 2010 Beeld Hal Werk show in Amsterdam Noord). Find out about his most recent projects.

In the hope of uncovering the mystery of the grilled cheese sandwich, Tobias and a group of food lovers are building a tosti factory... from scratch! On about 80m2 at Mediamatic Fabriek they'll be raising a pig (ham), keeping a cow (cheese), and harvesting wheat (bread). Read their project proposal here.
