In this two-hour workshop you will learn to make your own instrument from dried Japanese Knotweed stems. Guided by Marc Lemonnier, musician/forager specialized in natural percussion, you'll craft a pan flute together and learn to play a song. Children and family members are encouraged to participate together in this family-oriented workshop.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Marc Lemonnier
As a musician and composer inspired by nature and world music, Marc is specialized in "green music": exploring natural percussion and sounds, and the crafting of natural instruments. He runs a website to publish crafting techniques using natural materials and gives family-oriented workshops, as well as presenting his own show on prehistoric music, L'Invention de la Musique.
